Ms. Marshall's Homework Information

 Math:

Please read the newsletter that goes home in the homework folder every Monday.  I will usually assign one page of Math homework each day (Mon-Thurs).  Please rip out the assigned math pages and hand them in on Friday in the blue homework folder.  You may keep the Practice Work Book at home in a safe place. 

Reading:

It is critical for young readers to read every day. Re-reading improves fluency.  I will assign several reading activities every week.  Please assist your child based on his/her needs by listening to them read the passages. Also,  reading for pleasure will also help your child progess throughout the year. Hand in completed reading homework with the math homework in the blue homework folder on Friday.

Spelling:

Look for the spelling words on the lower left hand corner of the weekly newsletter.  The words usually correlate to the weekly phonics skill.  The spelling words will also contain sight words.  We will have a spelling test every Friday morning.
