Science

We will be discussing a variety of topics in science this year, including human body systems, ecosystems, Earth's surface, weather, electricity, and force and motion.

Students will also be participating in Flex-a-Brain Fridays.  These are hands-on activities that require them to think "outside the box" to complete tasks.

Social Studies

The main focus for fifth grade is American history.  We started with the original 13 colonies and will continue up to World War 2.

Fourth grade focuses on Florida history, including the first floridians, Spanish explorers, and Florida as a state.  We will touch on aspects of American history by studying their effects on Florida.
