Mrs. Gabriel’s Philosophy & Curriculum Overview

Philosophy - Art is an important essential component in the total development of each student. A heightened awareness of the aesthetic values of world cultures, the production of artworks, artistic heritage, perceptual awareness, and the uses of constructive art criticism promotes critical thinking and creative problem solving skills. At Belle Terre Elementary it is our goal to promote a positive learning environment in order to develop the students' sense of worth, trust, respect, individuality, and confidence in order to become life long learners.

Curriculum Overview - Students in K-5 visual arts classes acquire skills in drawing, painting, sculpting, printmaking, modeling, design, and computer graphics.
