Flagler County Writing Assessment Rubric
Primary (K-1)
Note to Parents: We use this rubric to assess your child's writing. He/she should have been writing at a 3 scale upon completing Kindergarten. Our goal is for your child to be writing at a 6 scale by the end of First Grade. In order to attain this goal, writing homework will be sent home on a weekly basis. Please take the time to work with your child on this homework, as it takes a lot of practice, reassurance, and guidance to become a great writer.
