I am entering my seventh year as a classroom teacher. In 2001 I received my Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Science and taught a school to work transition class at the high school level. I taught students how to fill out job applications, write resumes and cover letters, and all the skills necessary to be successful on the job after leaving high school. In 2004, I received my Master's degree in Elementary Education and began teaching third grade in Osceola County. I also taught fourth and fifth grade reading. My husband's love for motorcycles brought us to Florida in 2002, and he settled in to a job in the motorcycle capital of the world, Daytona Beach. We had to move closer to where he was working so I planned a day trip to Palm Coast to check out the area. One trip over the Flagler bridge, and I was sold. Two weeks later, we found a house, and Bunnell Elementary became my new "home way from home". As I mentioned earlier, I am married and have two boys, ages 15 and 12. We have a white lab named Bailey and a playful black and white cat named Sophie. My family and I moved to Orlando, Florida from the small state of Delaware in October of 2002, and settled here in Palm Coast in 2005. I absolutely love living here. Bunnell reminds me of the small town in Delaware where I used to live. I've always loved the ocean and visit the beach in Flagler on a regular basis. In my spare time I love to watch my youngest son play baseball, take in a movie with my 15 year old, and ride my bike. For the last two years I have participated in the MS 150, riding my bike 150 miles in two days!! That is something I never thought I would be able to do, and is actually kind of fun!!
