You are invited to participate in Flagler County’s newly formed
Environmental Conservation Outreach (ECO) Committee
Environmental Conservation Outreach (ECO) Committee
A group of students from elementary, middle and high school levels presented ideas to the SCHOOL BOARD last November to get them to help UNITE our individual school efforts about environmental concerns. They wanted our COUNTY to become a model example of a school system and community working together to protect and preserve our environment. As a result, School Board Member Ms. Evie Shellenberger was selected to become the liaison for a county-wide committee.
Ms. Shellenberger is forming an “OUTREACH” committee inviting representation from all schools, parents and community members to participate in researching the needs and possibilities of our district’s “environmental” goals.
One goal requested was that this committee become a COMMUNICATION LINK for sharing information—ideas---resources and goals with the Board, all schools and our community.
We hope you will join us in uniting the county’s efforts toward this critical and educationally sound endeavor. If you would like to help, be a guest speaker, or share information or resources with our county’s schools about an environmental issue, please contact us. We would like to be a model school system…RECYCLING – REDUCING – REUSING!
