 Racing to Read! Program
The Flagler County School District is excited to participate in the Racing to Read program through Daytona International Speedway. Racing to Read is an great incentive program that encourages our students to read at home. Students who meet the goals established by their schools will receive a certificate redeemable through the Speedway for items such as tickets for Daytona 500 Qualifying, the Chevy Silverado 250 Truck Race, the Daytona 500 Experiance, or the Daytona Supercross Spectacular by Honda. The program is for students in grades 1-5 at the elementary level, grades 6-8 at the middle school level, and students in intensive reading classes at the high school level. Posters are displayed at all the schools about this program, or you may contact the school media specialist for further details!

Old Kings Elementary School is opening their media center on the third Saturday of every month. All are welcome, and all students must be accompanied by a adult. Come out on Saturday, October 20th and see what all the excitement is about!

The September Saturday was a great success! Students used the Reading Counts Program, worked on spelling lists, read books, played learning games, and had a great time!!
