Flagler County School District - School Board Members
Charles A. Gambaro, Jr. was born in Titusville, Florida on March 15, 1978. Charles is the son of Colonel Charles Gambaro and Haydeé Gambaro. Charles A. Gambaro, Jr. was raised in Oviedo, Florida. Charles is a 1996 graduate of Oviedo High School and a 1999 graduate of the University of Florida with a B.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in History. From an early age Charles has been involved in the community through many leadership capacities. Charles served as the Oviedo High School Student Body President and he is a former Seminole County 4-Her who was actively involved in the 4-H program at the county, district, state, and national levels. | District 1 |

Mr. Palmer was born in New London, CT. He served four years with the United States Navy during the sixties and taught middle school math for 20 years in Guilford, CT. While teaching, he also worked 20 years part time managing a local nursery. He moved to Palm Coast in 1989 and worked 16 years for Flagler County School District as Parent Specialist/Coordinator for the Title I Program. Mr. Palmer retired in 2005 after 36 years of working at various job levels in public education. As a retired resident and educator of Flagler County, Mr. Palmer felt he still had something to give to the community. He was elected to the School Board in the fall of 2006 and is eager to be a contributing factor in achieving excellence in education for Flagler County. | District 3 |

Evelyn L Shellenberger was born in Versailles, Kentucky and moved to Florida in 1972 to teach at Browning Pearce Elementary School in East Palatka, Florida. She graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a BS in Health, Physical Education and Recreation in 1969. In 1971 she graduated from Murray State University with a MA in Health, Physical Education and Recreation. After moving to Florida in 1972, she began taking Educational Administration and Supervision Courses at the University of Florida Upon completion of those courses and additional certifications, she began her career in Education Administration. | District 5
