A little explanation...All kids (and most grown-ups too) like to Rock and Roll. When you Rock and Roll you exert so much energy and excitement which brings ordinary things alive and turns them into exceptional things. That's my hope for us this year. I hope that we have a year filled with learning that could be ordinary but I don't want us to settle for that. I want us to have an exceptional year! To top it all off, this will be the year where your child will become a masterful reader! So there you go...we are the Rockin' Readers! What do you think?
PS...Mrs. C Newman's class will be sharing this mascot with us as we will be teaching leveled reading groups together. What does that mean? Well, we will explain it in detail at the Open House but basically we will be grouping our 2 classes together and then splitting them based on their academic needs in Reading. This way we can better meet the needs of EVERY child in our classrooms.
