Today was a great first First day of Kindergarten for our class. We met as a small group of 8 today. Our new kindergarteners toured the school and learned where to go to visit the nurse, the principal, assistant principal, the front desk, the guidance counselor and the librarian. Many a first day can begin and end in tears (for the students!) especially in Kindergarten. Today was a tear-free day I am proud to report! 
Smile maker: A boy raised his hand ever so politely and asked me since my "name is Mrs. Wright, does that mean you know everything?" My rehearsed response (as I am quite used to all the "Wright" quips since acquiring the name by marriage) came back, "Almost" with a wink and a smile. His even better response to that was, "That's what I thought".
It was a great first day!
