Adult Basic Education is offered to adults who need to learn the basic skills of reading, writing, or mathematics. This program enables adults with academic skills at less than ninth grade level, to increase their skills and eventually earn their GED diploma. One-on-one, small group, and/or direct instruction is provided to all adults in Flagler County that wish to continue their education. These classes meet at several areas throughout the county.
The Adult Literacy Center (ALC) located at 5400 E. Highway 100, Palm Coast, just west of Flagler-Palm Coast High School, offers Adult Basic Education, GED Preparation, New Beginnings Family Literacy program, ESOL, and Driver's Education. Offices of the Department of Juvenille Justice, and the Early Learning Coalition are also located at ALC.
