Apprenticeship classroom related instruction is offered in the areas listed below on a fee-exempted basis. Classes are 2 1/2 hours in length and are held two days a week following the local school calendar.
There are 150 hours of classroom instruction offered each year. An apprentice must be employed in the field in which he is training and be indentured to an apprenticeship committee.
Programs vary in duration from one to four years. Supervised on-the-job training is required and is based on a typical work week in the trade for a fifty-week year.
Successful completers will be awarded journeymen certification as well as vocational credit.
