The Adult Activity Center is a licensed adult day care. We have been operational for over 16 years with a Florida certified teacher overseeing our program. The program is designed for the "needs assistance" type person with some form of handicap. Handicaps can be as simple as hearing impaired, dementia, or visual impairment. Students come for socialization, daily living skills, games, cognitive therapy, and exercise. Staff focus on skills teaching empowerment instead of entitlement with all activities designed for student success.
The Community Inclusion Program is comprised of students on the Medicaid Waiver program. These students (families) must fill out applications and be approved by the Agency for Persons With Disabilities (APD) program office housed in Daytona Beach. Our Adult Day Training (ADT) program, if they choose it for services, is comprised of daily living skills, socialization, exercise, and basic math & reading skills, as well as other activities they choose to work on. Our NRSS (fieldtrip) programs deal with learning skills needed to interact and safely survive in our community.
